C'est un peu ce qu'il dit dans son mail :

Romain,

This is your bow in progress. (Of course, it is hard to see at this point

that these pieces will eventually be formed into a beautiful bow.) The wood

is now seasoned and the bamboo has been tempered and ready for the next

steps.

En tous cas, d'une série de photos à l'autre, il a fermé la porte de son atelier ! :28:

Donc, :

- soit il doit commencer à ne pas faire très chaud par chez lui,

- soit ton arc va être exceptionnel au point qu'il ait choisi de travailler dans le plus grand secret !

çà c'est quand même quelquechose de "fondamental" , isn't it ! :109:

Hmm... pas sur, car sur le mail il me dit :

Here are a couple pics of your bow in progress. The core is glued, and the

belly and riser are ready to be glued to the core.

Ca voudrait dire que l'ame et le dos sont deja colles sur la photo.

Je ne sais pas a quoi peut bien servir une ame au milieu de cet arc. A priori au milieu, son role mecanique est negligeable.

Sur le site il precise : These bamboo composites are composed of bamboo for both the back and the belly, and a core of maple and osage or Japanese laminations (a combination of mulberry and bamboo laminated together and then resawn) for the core.

Apparté : dans le dernier Primitive Archer (Holiday 2004, volume 12, issue 5) que j'ai recu AUJOURD'HUI, un article sur Vinson MINER et les cours qu'il donne.

Un certain Zack Taylor a suivi 4 jours les cours de taille de silex et de construction d'arc et est rentre chez lui avec 2 lames de couteau et 1 pointe de fleche en silex et un arc longbow reflex-deflex d'erable backé bambou....

Ca me plairait drolement de suivre les cours aussi... :wub:
