  2. Great workshops you have there, my friends. I think that depends of our working space how we will work. I can not work in closed rooms, even now, in the winter. This is my working cabin.
  3. My elms almost never open cracks, even when summer cut is done. I simply debark it, left cambio on and they dry very well.
  4. Hi to all. I am new one, bowyer from Serbia. I did some density tests of wood of my country because I work in plywood making factory. My tests are done with 0% moisture content, after 12hours of drying sample. Probably results are similar with France and Espana, Czech... Black locust heartwood 0,85; White Ash 0,68; 0,81; Spruce 0,39; 0,45; European hornbeam 0,82; 0,83; Beech 0,7; 0,76; 0,77; 0,77; Black pine 0,38; 0,39; (sapwood) 0,95 (very old pine heartwood) Poplar (Euroamericana) 0,44; Juniper 0,63; (just sapwood) 0,61; (1/2 sapwood 1/2 heartwood) Elm 0,67; 0,74; Prunus avium 0,74; Prunus cerasifera 0,76; Mulberry 0,63; ( heartwood-sapwood 1:1) Tatar maple 0,46; Hazel 0,55 (made 90# longbow of this sample) Ostrya carpinifolia 0,67; Black locust sapwood 0,73; (??!!)
